Privacy and use
How OneDL handles pasted links, temporary video files, request limits and optional referral measurements
Information used for a download
No OneDL account is required. When you submit a public video link, our server uses that URL to look up the video on the source platform. Direct downloads connect your browser to that platform or its media provider, which receives the information normally sent with a browser request, including your IP address.
Temporary files and expiry
For server-prepared downloads, temporary media and thumbnails are held on our server. Link details normally expire after ten minutes; unused expired files are removed by a periodic cleanup task. Active preparation and downloads may finish before their files are removed. Restarting the service clears its temporary jobs. These files are not a permanent video library.
Request limits and logs
We briefly hold IP addresses in memory to limit requests and protect the service from overload. Server error logs may contain request details. The website does not require analytics or advertising cookies.
Sharing and referral measurements
We record daily aggregate counts of sharing actions, referral impressions, referral clicks and referral-code copies. These records contain the action, partner, interface language and tool page. They do not contain visitor IDs, IP addresses, pasted video URLs or download tokens. Aggregate records are retained for up to 90 days. Counts do not prove that a share, signup or purchase was completed.
External services
Sharing links open the social service you choose. Optional referrals open pump.fun or Polymarket; we may receive a reward if you use those services. Those websites apply their own privacy terms. You do not need to use a referral to download a video. Social icons and fonts are hosted by OneDL. Cloudflare provides DNS, protection and encrypted transport to our server. For Instagram lookups, a proxy provider may carry requests between our server and Instagram. Video files are currently fetched separately without that proxy.
Responsible use and contact
